Product advantages
SIHARD 2419 is a medium alloy cold work steel, oil hardening type, offering good dimensional and cutting stability. It has slightly lower hardenability and wear resistance compared to highly chromium alloyed steels, but provides better toughness.

Continuous Cooling Transformation (CCT)
Tempering
Hardening
Harden from a temperature of 800 - 830°C followed by oil quenching or warm bath quenching approx. 200°C. Hardness after quenching is 63 - 65 HRC.
Forging
Hot forming temperature: 1050 - 850°C.
