SIJ Group employs over 3.500 people in Slovenia and abroad. We play an important role in the local communities where we have our production facilities, for our employees and the people who live there.

Development

We offer a wide range of internal training programs and collaborate with external institutions to provide our employees with diverse learning opportunities. Our support extends to employees pursuing part-time studies, co-financing their education through annual internal calls for applications. We focus on key areas such as management, metallurgy, maintenance, mechanical processing, project management, quality, and process improvements, ensuring that employees can grow within our organization and develop long-term careers.

Health and Safety
The health and safety of our employees are a top priority. Our largest companies, SIJ Acroni and SIJ Metal Ravne, are certified under the ISO 45001 occupational health and safety standard, and we aim to extend this certification to six key companies by 2026. We regularly assess risks across our operations and take proactive steps to ensure the well-being of our employees. Our comprehensive incident detection system and protocols, such as the "A Minute for Safety" initiative, involve employees in identifying potential risks and preventing accidents. Additionally, our certified occupational health service provider ensures that our employees' health is maintained through regular assessments and preventive medical examinations.
Local Communities
Our commitment to local communities is reflected in our extensive sponsorship and donation programs, supporting initiatives in sports, culture, education, healthcare, and humanitarian projects. In the communities of Ravne na Koroškem and Jesenice, where we are key employers, we have strong ties with employees and their families. We sponsor six local sports clubs and, in collaboration with the Olympic Committee of Slovenia, we have built 17 steel outdoor sports grounds and sustainable slag pump tracks to promote active, healthy lifestyles across the country.
