SIJ Group is closely monitoring the development of the situation in order to act proportional to the continuation of the coronavirus epidemic in Slovenia and worldwide and to the measures of individual countries.
Our priorities continue to be the implementation of preventive measures to protect the health of our employees and ensuring undisrupted business operations as much as possible. As well, it is our priority to be a reliable business partner to our customers and suppliers, therefore, we constantly take care of the operations of our key departments, which enable us to fulfill obligations towards our customers and keep our key purchasing and sales processes operational. Finalization and dispatch service function according to plans.
Work in production facilities is adapted to the conditions caused by coronavirus, and business processes are constantly optimized, including by switching to discontinued production cycles (rather than continuous production). Production facilities are also using this period to carry out overhauls and maintenance work, otherwise planned later in 2020.
Where necessary the employees in the production and administrative services will go on temporary lay-offs. Hereby, we emphasize that this is only a temporary measure, as countries in the European Economic Area are gradually releasing rigorous measures due to declining infections.
