Description
Unalloyed structural steel.

Applications
Common structural steel for welded assemblies, R_e>355 N/mm². Guaranted toughness at 0 ^oC. It can be used for statically and dynamically stressed constructions.

Density [g/cm³]: 7.80

Soft Annealing
Heat to 650-700^oC, cool slowly.

Hardening
Harden from a temperature of 860-890^oC followed by oil or water quenching.

Tempering
Normalizing temperature: 860-890^oC.

Forging
Hot forming temperature: 1050-850^oC.

Machinability
Machinability is good, rated at 90% that of the 1112 alloy used as a 100% machining rated steel.
