390-year steelmaking in Carinthia was the central topic of this year's traditional Christmas concert which was presented by the Brass Orchestra of Ravne Steelworkers (Pihalni orkester železarjev Ravne).  Over 1000 people attended the event that was held on Christmas in the sports hall at the Primary School of Prežihov Voranc. The audience could enjoy old photos showing the old Ravne Steelworks and today's production of Metal Ravne that were displayed in the background during the concert.  Special guest of the evening was a famous Slovenian singer Alenka Godec who was accompanied by the orchestra. The audience was addressed by the Mayor of Ravne, Mr. Tomaž Rožen and the Managing Director of Metal Ravne, Mr. Andrej Gradišnik who briefly described the rich history of steelmaking in Carinthia in his opening speech.
